Back to Miami: Alpine x Trak Racer Eye Redemption at the 2025 Grand Prix
This weekend, the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, alongside sim racing partner Trak Racer, returns to the Miami International Autodrome; a high-speed street circuit packed with potential, unpredictability, and pressure.
With new 2025 Pirelli tyre compounds, the looming threat of rain, and the Formula One’s second Sprint weekend of the season, this race could deliver the drama. After a tough outing in Jeddah, including a DNF for Pierre Gasly, the team heads to Florida looking to bounce back and reset.
Miami 2024 Recap: Points on the Board, More to Play For
In last year’s Miami Grand Prix, Esteban Ocon finished 10th, securing valuable points for the team, while Gasly narrowly missed out with a 12th-place finish. The result showed competitive potential on the streets of Miami—and the team returns in 2025 aiming to build on that foundation.
This time, it’s Gasly and Doohan behind the wheel—and both drivers are eager to make their mark.
Gasly Sets Sights on a Strong Weekend
After a short-lived race in Jeddah, Gasly is focused on maximising every lap in Miami, especially with limited practice time during the Sprint format.
“Miami will be the second Sprint weekend of the year, which means we will need to hit the ground running... The track is exciting and the two long straights allow for some good overtaking opportunities.”
He also highlighted the energy of the venue and the fans, calling the Miami circuit one of the “coolest of the year.” For Gasly, this is a chance to shake off the disappointment of Jeddah and aim for points in both races.
Doohan Prepares to Deliver
With a full-time seat in 2025, Jack Doohan is stepping into the spotlight. After a demanding start to the season, he's used the break to reset and fine-tune his preparation.
“It was nice to have a week to rest and reset. I spent some time working with the team at the factory and on the simulator to prepare for Miami.”
Doohan is no stranger to Miami, having experienced the atmosphere last year in a support role. Now, with real points on the line, he’s focused on execution from the very first session.
“We’ve definitely made some steps forward from the beginning of the year... We just need to build on that each time we are on track.”
A Chance to Reset
With heat, humidity, and high stakes all in play, the Miami Grand Prix weekend will be a true test for the team. Alpine and Trak Racer are aligned in their focus: consistency, adaptability, and chasing down results—one corner at a time.
